This is Jackson looking out on an icey mountain this morning. Being 13 is a full plate especially after a year spent dodging the Covid boogeyman at every turn. Jackson is NOT happy about missing our annual trip to spring training. It was about baseball but mostly it was about ritual. So many rituals have been upended and Jackson remembers every single pitch. So we snuck away to a mountain where Jackson proved himself an excellent big brother. We ate take out chicken wings that got very high ratings in the room. We jumped into a pool we had to ourselves next to an empty hot tub. We got away. #dadpov
