These pictures were shot during two shows during the Rolling Thunder Review tour. Dylan was wearing white face makeup and had created a whole persona that allowed him back onto the stage during a tricky period of his life. The stage was full of musicians and poets and hangers on. The music was so alive. The pictures feel more animated than most Dylan shots in concert. There is a new film Scorcese just created with archival material from Rolling Thunder on Netflix and definitely worth checking out. This shot features Joan Baez who seemed like such a second fiddle to Dylan on stage...but in the film she is a firecracker. Click here to see more info on the show - with my pictures included.
