I have been shooting the RK Mellon annual report for 4 years. I LOVE this assignment. I get to photograph leaders in conservation, healthcare, education, the arts, feeding the needy - ALL people doing the work of the gods. This shoot was taken at Pittsburgh Ballet Theater. I was photographing the money guy (Nicholas Dragga) and creative director (Adam McKinney). Adam was a dancer. Nicholas was…not. We shot in an empty rehearsal room. No lights. One camera and one lens. I asked Adam to give Nicholas some lessons.
