The great picture editor George Pitts called me to shoot this cover for Vibe Magazine at Smashbox studios in LA. For as much as I love music - I have done precious few studio shoots of musicians, so this one was a real thrill. Stevie Wonder sang, “As” for all of us. Quincey who is a legend and such a force - was master of ceremonies. Coolio had that insane hair - and we created one of my favorite images ever. Weird Al Yankovic later copied the shot of Coolio for an album cover. When I called him on it - he said, “Just try and sue me!”
