Whether we worked with big ideas that involved a lot of pre-production on the set or really small ideas (How much CAN you do with a roll of green seamless paper?), Jim always improvises and runs with it.

I have photographed Jim Carrey many times for movie ad campaigns (Liar Liar, Bruce Almighty, Mr. Poppers Penguins) and many editorial assignments. Each time was a revelation, a joy and a wild ride. Jim comes into the studio – super nice – but we don’t talk that much. My job is to build a stage, he provides the fuel, I provide the match. I know his explosive energy is going to be bright and fast and then it is going to be over.
