Andy Warhol

I went to the Warhol Factory for the first time on E. 33 St to photograph Warhol on (date). I remember there being a lot of aluminum foil lining the walls and it being kind of dark and creepy. I was introduced to Warhol and he took me to a space where we were totally alone. He went into the bathroom and left the door open as he sat up on the sink with scissors grooming his wig. I remember thinking I saw him trimming his nose hairs. He stood for me by a window and say on this desk. I don’t remember a single word being exchanged. I had my one camera and one lens. The assignment was for Marie Paul-Pelle, the editor of Decoration Internationale for a story on New Yorkers.
